There is no need for an application to be used to download videos from youtube.
By far the easiest way to dowload is just to add an extra word into your address bar.

There are a few ways to do this:
1. The Easy Way
If you only want to download a video the best way is to insert an "OK" before "youtube.com...." e.g.

Just put the "ok" infront of "youtube"

Then a download window will pop up allowing you to immediately download the .flv file.

Please note that the video quality can sometimes be appauling when using this method.

2. The Way I Like To Use

Another way (which I prefer to the above method) is putting the word "kick" infront of youtube.
This allows you to not only download the FLV but it will convert it to MP4, HD, 3GP, IPHONE, PSP, MP3 and GIF. For some videos it will allow AVI, MPEG, and OGG conversion.

Suppose you want to remove Windows Messenger, because its worthless according to you in this age of YM , G-Talks n all. How can you do it? Its not even listed in the Add Remove Program at the Control Panel.

1. Find and edit the text file at c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf OR
* Go to Windows folder
* Find the Inf folder inside that
* Search for the sysoc.inf file
2. Search for the word hide and remove it. Do NOT remove any other text
from the line.
3. Now you can go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel
4. Select Add/Remove Windows Components and there you can find your

How to Send Any File to Any Place By One Click

What if I tell you a trick that helps you to send a particular file anywhere you like in Windows XP without going to that particular place? Sounds interesting?
The process is simple. You can do that by providing more locations to Send To option that comes when you right click on a particular file. To do that,

1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\SendTo
(where User_Name is your user name)
2. The folder will be filled with shortcuts to all the locations you find on your Send To context menu.
3. To remove an item from the Send To menu, delete the shortcut from the folder.

AND

1. To add an item to the menu, add a shortcut to the folder by highlighting the folder,
2. Choose File → New → Shortcut, and follow the subsequent instructions for creating a shortcut. The new setting will take effect immediately; you don't have to exit Windows Explorer for it to go into effect.

How to rip an Audio CD

Step 1: Install LAME

Before we install EAC, we have to install LAME. LAME, short for Lame Ain’t an MP3 Encoder, is in fact an MP3 encoder. It allows EAC to take the raw .wav files ripped from the CD and compress them into more useful high-bitrate MP3s.

The LAME homepage provides information about the encoder and offers its source code, but you can download pre-compiled executables of the LAME code at RareWares. If you download the zipped binaries from RareWares, there’s no installation to speak of—you just unzip the files, including LAME.exe, into a folder and you’re good to go. We recommend putting them in a subdirectory of Program Files.

Step 2: Install and Configure EAC

Next, you’ll need to visit the EAC website and download the latest version of the software. Run the executable, and install it wherever you like. Pay attention during the installation, as EAC will try and slip an eBay button onto your system, unless you uncheck the box when it asks which features you want installed.

Once the installer is finished with its work, EAC will launch and the configuration wizard will start. Here, it will attempt to locate the drive you’ll be using to rip CDs; confirm that it has found the correct drive, or select the one you wish to use. When the wizard asks if you want to focus on speed or ripping accuracy, select ripping accuracy.

Now, EAC will run diagnostics on your CD drive. You’ll be asked to insert a clean music CD, so pick an unscratched disc from your collection, pop it in, and press Next.

Assuming there were no problems with your CD drive, you’ll be able to click through a few more install screens, until it asks you what sort of compression you want to use. Select the MP3 option. It will then inform you that you need an MP3 encoder, which you’ve already downloaded, so browse to the folder holding the LAME.exe file when EAC starts searching for it.
Now, you’ll be asked to enter an email address, which is required for you to access the freeDB online ID3 tags database. Finish off the configuration wizard by selecting a file naming scheme for your rips from the huge selection in the dropdown. When prompted, choose to run EAC in expert mode.

Now that the configuration wizard is done, there are still a few more options to change to get the most out of EAC. First, go to EAC > Drive Options, and dismiss the warning box that pops up. Now, insert a scratched CD into your drive, and click the Examine C2 Feature button. If EAC tells you that your drive is capable of finding C2 error information, check the box next to "Drive is capable of retrieving C2 error information.” This will noticeably increase the speed of your rips.

Next, we’ll configure the MP3 bitrate, so click to EAC > Compression Options. LAME can encode MP3s in all sorts of different bitrates, but we’re not living in 2003 here—storage is dirt-cheap and everyone’s an audiophile, so we’re going to set EAC to use LAME’s V0 profile, the highest variable bitrate setting. To do this, change the field labeled "Additional command-line options” to %l-V 5%l%h-V 0%h --vbr-new %s %d. (Note that the number in the middle has changed from a 2 to a 0.) With these command-line options, as long as the "High quality” radial button is selected, LAME will use the V0 profile, regardless of what is selected in the bitrate dropdown menu.

To automate your rips, change these options: In the General tab, check the box marked "On unknown CDs” and click the radial button next to "Automatically access online freedb database.” Also, check "Eject CD after extraction finished” for faster ripping of multiple discs.

In the Directories tab, click the "Use this directory” radial button, and select a folder to store your newly encoded MP3s.

Step 3: Rip a Disc

Finally, it’s time to rip a disc to your hard drive. Insert a music CD into your drive and EAC will display a list of tracks. If you selected the "Automatically access online freedb database” option, as instructed, EAC should automatically download track names and other ID3 tags for the CD. Give the tags a quick once-over, to make sure they’re correct.

Click Action > Test & Copy Selected Tracks > Compressed to kick off the burning process. From here on out, it’s hands-off—just give EAC time to do its thing. It will take considerably longer to rip the MP3s with EAC than it would with iTunes, but the MP3s created will be as close to error-free as you can get.

Tutorial instalare windows xp

Întâi intrăm în BIOS şi alegem ca first boot device CD / DVD – ROM-ul.
Introducem CD-ul bootabil cu WinXP, restartăm PC-ul, apoi urmărim instrucţiunile:

Înainte de boot-screen ne va apărea asta:

Apăsăm un key, iar imediat după va apărea:

Aşteptăm să verifice configuraţia PC-ului şi îndată ce aceasta s-a finalizat, începe procesul de setup.

Aşteptăm următorul proces, şi anume încărcarea fişierelor.

După ce am trecut de primul pas, vom avea de ales:
ENTER = Continuarea instalarii
R = Repararea actualului windows
F3 = Abandonare

Vom apăsa ENTER (ceea ce este recomandat în majoritatea cazurilor) şi ne va întâmpina următorul agreement.

Ca şi la pasul precedent, avem mai multe obţiuni:
F8 = In caz ca esti de acord cu agreement-ul.
ESC = Daca nu esti de acord si doresti sa abandonezi instalarea.
Page Down = In caz ca doresti sa citesti urmatoarea pagina.

Pasul următor este alegerea partiţiei pe care va fi instalat windowsul (default C). După alegere apăsăm ENTER (pentru instalare) sau F3 (pentru ieşire).

Avem 4 obţiuni de formatare:
NTFS file system
NTFS file system

FAT32 file system
FAT32 fyle system
*Note: Fat32 e depăşit, recomand cu căldură NTFS (NT File Sistem).

După ce am ales tipul partiţiei, ea se va formata, apoi windows-ul işi va copia fişierele necesare pentru a continua instalarea.

Când fişierele sunt gata de instalare, PC-ul trebuie restartat.

Putem apăsa direct ENTER.

Instalarea durează aproximativ 40 de minute (asta depinde de procesor, la mine durează 10).

În timpul instalării, vom avea de făcut diverse setări:
Configurarea limbii.

Personalizarea windows-ului.

Alegerea unui nume pentru calculator, şi a unei parole pentru userul de administrare .

Setarea datei / orei

Alegerea unui domeniu pentru calculator (default WORKGROUP)

După instalarea completă, windows-ul va ajusta automat rezoluţia recomandată.

Imediat ce rezoluţia a fost modificată, va porni un tour al XP-ului, care necesită niste setări finale.
Astea le vom pune după preferinţe.

Eset NOD32 Antivirus este din cate se stie un nume respectat in lumea solutiilor de securitate si destul de vechi in acest domeniu, Este clasificat de majoritatea utilizatorilor drept: anitvirusul care consuma cele mai putine resurse, ceea ce din pacate nu mai este chiar atat de aplicabil la versiunea 4.

Din cercetarile facute de mine observ ca chiar cu setarile default se simte ca-l ai si ca el ruleaza, ceea ce e un lucru bun zic eu avand in vedere faptul ca pana nu demult NOD32 facea rabat la securitate tocmai pentru a nu obosi sistemul celui ce il foloseste!
Are o interfata destul de simpla si usoara la prima vedere, asta e bine pe de-o parte pentru cei ce nu sunt foarte priceputi in a seta un Antivirus insa totul se schimba cand se trece la setari in modul avansat, il poti seta pana la cele mai mici detalii.

Ce este foarte interesant la acest antivirus si de apreciat este faptul ca detine o functie ce poate bloca Auto Play-ul Windowsului, asta insemnand un plus deoarece device-urile conectate la PC nu vor mai auto-rula si astfel vom fi protejati impotriva virusilor ce se poat afla pe un stick imprumutat de la un prieten.

Acest antivirus vine cu scanare antivirus si antispyware, scanare in timp real precum si scanarea emailurilor.Asa cum am spus meniul de setari este extrem de generos si de aceea am decis sa fac un tutorial pentru a va ajuta in setarea acestui antivirus indragit de foarte multi utilizatori!

Ce nu mi-a placut mie la acest antivirus este faptul ca se updateaza destul de rar ceea ce nu e bine pentru un antivirus, pentru ca updatandu-se rar nu va avea semnaturile de virusi la zi si da ati ghicit, automat detectia lui e mai slabuta si de multe ori lasa de dorit.

Se zice ca NOD32 nu da alarme false, iese in fata doar atunci cand detecteaza intradevar un virus si chiar da alrmele pe bune! Puteti gasi kitul de instalare pe siteul oficial atat in limba engleza cat sin in liba romana, il puteti gasi pentru windows pe 32 de biti sau pe 64 de biti, acestia pun la dispozitie si o suita de securitate ESET Smart Security ce include si un firewall, o suita de securitate completa insa noi nu vom vorbi astazi despre asta ci doar despre NOD32 Antivirus 4

Una peste alta cuvintele nu-si mai au rostul tutorialul este destul de lung pentru ca asa cum am spus este destul de stufos si de setabil si va invit sa vizionam impreuna acest tutorial.
